How Forklift Wheel Pressing Works
Interference fit: Press-on tires feature a solid rubber or polyurethane outer layer bonded to a steel band that relies on exact sizing to stay tightly secured to the wheel hub.
Hydraulic force: A high-capacity industrial tire press (typically ranging from 100 to 150 tons of pressure) pushes the new tire evenly onto the rim or pushes an old worn tire off.
Lubrication: Specialized non-petroleum tire lubricants are applied to reduce friction during mounting without damaging the rubber.
